Nan Parati has worked as the sign writer and co-coordinator of the art department for the Jazz Fest for 30 years. Displaced from Katrina, she ended up in Massachusetts where she now owns a small restaurant and general store. Happily, she still gets to work on Jazz Fest every year, skipping the late winter of New England and embracing
New Orleans again for her favorite time of year.
She is very happy to be designing the artwork and writing the signs for the Audubon Charter School’s Fall Fete for 2014, as she is absolutely devoted to her two godchildren, Nina and Lola Cameron, as well as to her buddy Lily Markus, all of whom attend school at Audubon Charter’s French program.
